The service provided by Fitzroy Funerals begins when we are notified of your loved ones passing.
Our funeral home becomes your agent, acting on your behalf to organise everything required for the funeral service, giving you peace of mind that the farewell you have chosen will be as perfect and complete as we can make it.
On average, over 38 man-hours go into the arrangements and direction of each funeral,
regardless of its cost.
The following is a general list of services we provide each family.

Secure information for legal firms, death certificate, Veterans’ and Social Security forms.

Record statistical information of obituary notice to newspapers and other media.

Consult with family about funeral arrangements and details of service.

Complete post-mortem permission forms and deliver, if applicable.

Consult with clergyman or celebrant regarding day, time and place of service.

Arrange pallbearers.

Arrange vehicles directing sequence and procedure of cars in the cortege.

Arrange for interment or entombment in local or out-of-town cemetery or mausoleum.

Arrange for cremation and the storing of the ashes, if applicable.

Order vault.
-
Procure death certificate from attending physician.

Obtain certified copies of death certificate.

Secure burial permit.
-
Obtain flags for Veteran’s services.

Arranging for services of out-of-town, interstate or overseas funeral director, when needed.

Delivery of the memorial register, flower cards, notes of condolence, mass cards or spiritual Bouquet folders to the family.
